1. About these terms
These terms ("Terms") govern your use of the Legacis Intelligence™ platform, including the website at legacis.ai, the Practice Briefing newsletter, and any related services we make available from time to time (together, the "Platform"). The Platform is operated by Legacis Intelligence Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales (company number 17115452) with its registered office at 81 The Cut, London SE1 8LL ("Legacis Intelligence," "we," "our," "us"). By accessing or using the Platform, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree to these Terms, you should not use the Platform.
2. Definitions
In these Terms: "Content" means all editorial articles, research reports, frameworks, data, commentary, country profiles, intelligence briefings, graphics, design elements, code, and other material made available through the Platform. "Member" means any individual who has registered for paid or gated access to the Platform. "Submitted Content" means any information, materials, or content submitted to us through forms, applications, or any other channel. "User," "you," "your" means any individual accessing or using the Platform.
3. Use of the Platform
You may access and read the Platform for personal, professional, and non-commercial research purposes, subject to these Terms. You may not, without our prior written permission: Reproduce, republish, distribute, or redistribute Content in any form Use any automated system, bot, scraper, crawler, or extraction tool to access, copy, or harvest Content or data from the Platform Reverse engineer, decompile, or otherwise attempt to derive the source code or underlying structure of the Platform Use the Platform to develop a competing product or service Misrepresent your identity, role, or affiliation when interacting with the Platform Use the Platform in any manner that could damage, disable, overburden, or impair our infrastructure Attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of the Platform, including member-only areas, accounts, or systems Use the Platform in any way that breaches applicable law or regulation We may suspend or terminate your access to the Platform at any time if we reasonably believe you have breached these Terms.
4. Editorial content
The Content on the Platform reflects independent research, analysis and commentary produced by the Legacis Intelligence™ editorial team and its correspondents. Opinions, conclusions and forecasts expressed in editorial Content are those of the authors at the time of publication. They are intended to inform professional readers and do not constitute, and should not be relied upon as, legal, financial, accounting, regulatory, investment, or other professional advice. You are responsible for any decisions you make in connection with information obtained from the Platform. You should seek appropriate independent professional advice before acting on any Content.
5. Data and accuracy
The Platform draws on a combination of editorial research, publicly accessible registers, professional directories, licensed third-party data sources, and information submitted to us by practices and individuals. While we take reasonable care to ensure that information is accurate, current and complete, we make no warranty or representation that it is, and we accept no liability for any decision made or action taken in reliance on Content or data made available through the Platform. Specific accuracy considerations are set out in our Data Disclaimer, which forms part of these Terms. If you believe Content or data relating to your practice is inaccurate, out of date, or otherwise should be corrected or removed, please contact editor@legacis.ai. Requests relating to personal information should be directed to privacy@legacis.ai and are handled under our Privacy Policy.
6. Submitted content
When you submit information to us, whether through the practice submission form, the correspondent application, an enquiry, or any other channel, you confirm that: The information you provide is accurate to the best of your knowledge You have the authority to provide it, including any third-party information (such as a founder or principal's name) you include You grant Legacis Intelligence™ a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide licence to use, edit, store, and incorporate the Submitted Content into the Platform for editorial, research, and publication purposes You will not submit content that is unlawful, defamatory, infringing, misleading, or otherwise inappropriate We are not obliged to publish any Submitted Content. Submissions are reviewed editorially against the Platform's coverage criteria, and decisions on inclusion are made at our discretion. We may edit Submitted Content for clarity, accuracy, length, or compliance with our editorial standards.
7. Intellectual property
All Content on the Platform is the intellectual property of Legacis Intelligence Ltd or its licensors, and is protected by copyright, trademark, database rights, and other applicable intellectual property laws. Legacis Intelligence™ and The Practice Briefing™ are trademarks of Legacis Intelligence Holdings Ltd. Nothing in these Terms grants you any right to use our trademarks, logos, branding, or other intellectual property without our prior written permission. You retain ownership of any Submitted Content you provide to us, subject to the licence granted under Section 6.
8. The Practice Briefing newsletter
The Practice Briefing is a monthly editorial newsletter published by Legacis Intelligence™. Subscription is free at the point of signup and is delivered via our third-party email service provider. By subscribing, you consent to receive the Practice Briefing and related editorial communications. You may unsubscribe at any time using the link in any email we send, or by emailing editor@legacis.ai. We may from time to time include sponsored content, partner content, or commercial messages within the Practice Briefing. Where we do, these will be clearly identified as such.
9. Memberships and paid services
Where the Platform offers paid memberships, subscriptions, or other paid services, additional terms specific to those services may apply. Those additional terms will be made available to you at the point of signup and will form part of your contract with us in addition to these Terms. In the event of any conflict between these Terms and the specific terms of a paid service, the specific terms will prevail in respect of that service.
10. Privacy
Our handling of personal information is set out in our Privacy Policy, which forms part of these Terms. By using the Platform, you acknowledge that you have read the Privacy Policy.
11. External links
The Platform may contain links to third-party websites or resources. These links are provided for informational purposes only. We do not control, endorse, or accept responsibility for the content, accuracy, or practices of any third-party site, and your use of any linked site is at your own risk.
12. Disclaimers
To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Platform and all Content are provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis, without warranty of any kind, whether express, implied, statutory, or otherwise. We do not warrant that the Platform will be uninterrupted, secure, error-free, or free from defects, viruses, or harmful components. Without limiting the foregoing, we do not warrant the accuracy, completeness, currency, reliability, or fitness for any particular purpose of any Content.
13. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law: We shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits, revenue, business, opportunity, goodwill, or data, arising out of or in connection with your use of the Platform Our total aggregate liability to you in any twelve-month period, whether in contract, tort (including negligence), breach of statutory duty, or otherwise, shall be limited to the greater of (a) the amount you have paid us in that twelve-month period for access to paid services, or (b) one hundred pounds sterling (£100) Nothing in these Terms limits or excludes our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or for any liability that cannot be limited or excluded under English law.
14. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Legacis Intelligence Ltd, its officers, directors, employees, and correspondents from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of or in connection with your breach of these Terms, your misuse of the Platform, or your infringement of any third-party rights.
15. Changes to the Platform and these Terms
We may update or modify the Platform, its Content, or these Terms at any time. Where changes to these Terms are material, we will give notice through the Platform and update the "Last updated" date above. Your continued use of the Platform after changes take effect constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.
16. Termination
We may suspend or terminate your access to the Platform at any time, with or without notice, for any reason, including (without limitation) any breach of these Terms or any conduct we reasonably consider to be inappropriate. On termination, the provisions of these Terms which by their nature should survive termination (including Sections 7, 12, 13, 14, and 17) will continue in effect.
17. Governing law and jurisdiction
These Terms, and any dispute or claim arising out of or in connection with them or their subject matter, are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales. The courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction to settle any such dispute or claim, except that we retain the right to bring proceedings in any other jurisdiction where you reside or where any breach of these Terms occurs.
18. General
Entire agreement. These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy and Data Disclaimer, constitute the entire agreement between you and Legacis Intelligence Ltd in respect of your use of the Platform, and supersede any prior agreements or understandings. Severability. If any provision of these Terms is held by a court to be unlawful, void, or unenforceable, that provision will be deemed severed, and the remaining provisions will continue in full force and effect. Waiver. Our failure to enforce any right or provision of these Terms will not be deemed a waiver of that right or provision. Assignment. You may not assign or transfer your rights or obligations under these Terms without our prior written consent. We may assign or transfer our rights and obligations at any time without restriction. No third-party beneficiaries. Except as expressly set out in these Terms, no person other than you and Legacis Intelligence Ltd has any rights to enforce these Terms.
